Collection: Gehry

Arguably one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, Frank Gehry's use of corrugated steel, chain link fencing, unpainted plywood and other utilitarian or "everyday" materials was partly inspired by spending Saturday mornings at his grandfather's hardware store.

After a graduating from the USC school of architecture, he held a number of odd jobs and spent time in the US Army before returning to school at Harvard Graduate School of Design. He left before completing the program and moved to Los Angeles where his career took off.

His most famous works include, El Peix, Dancing House, and the Stata Center
